Citizen Complaints

All citizen complaints are taken seriously and will be investigated by the proper authority. When completed, the investigation will be reviewed by Kane County Court Services Management for a finding. A letter will be sent to the compliant outlining allegations and findings. Complete the following form and submit via email at COSHotline@co.kane.il.us.

Illinois Compiled Statutes sections 720 ILCS 5/31-4 and 5/26-1 state it is a criminal offense for any person to knowingly submit false information or transmit false information to a peace/public officer knowing there is no reasonable grounds that such offenses have been committed.

DUI Victim Impact Panel (VIP)

Kane County is no longer conducting in-person Victim Impact Panels.
