JJC Visitation


Due to the COVID-19 Virus, the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center has temporarily suspended family visitation. Please read the information on the JJC wepage.

All parent / guardian JJC visitation must be scheduled in advance by calling 630-406-7480. Visitors are subject to security screening and must have a valid photo ID. Note JJC ​​visitation rules​

Citizen Complaints

All citizen complaints are taken seriously and will be investigated by the proper authority. When completed, the investigation will be reviewed by Kane County Court Services Management for a finding. A letter will be sent to the compliant outlining allegations and findings. Complete the following form and submit via email at COSHotline@co.kane.il.us.


Illinois Compiled Statutes sections 720 ILCS 5/31-4 and 5/26-1 state it is a criminal offense for any person to knowingly submit false information or transmit false information to a peace/public officer knowing there is no reasonable grounds that such offenses have been committed.

  1. You must arrive by 6:30 p.m. The doors of the courthouse are locked at 7:00 p.m. No one is admitted into the building once the doors are locked.
  2. You must present a photo I.D.
  3. There is zero tolerance for alcohol consumption or use of controlled substances, and you may be breathalyzed.
  4. Anyone found to have alcohol in their system will not be admitted and may be subject to further court action.
  5. If you are a Kane County defendant and need to reschedule, you must do so in court.
  6. If you are an out-of-county defendant and miss the date for which you are scheduled, you will not be rescheduled again in Kane County.
  7. No food or drink is allowed.
  8. No childcare will be provided.
  9. Guests are not permitted to attend.
